Maureen Onyia, I’m from Anambra State.
How long have you been designing?
Swt Fit Fabrics is 2years unbroken , Am so happy.
Did you start designing out of passion or you went to a fashion school?
The skill is in-born, the ability to imagine and illustrate is a gift from God! I can sketch out designs, I learnt how to measure, and how to know a good stitch and the managerial aspect of the business.
I know you design for both male and female, do you design for kids too?
I design for male and female for now, I will start designing for kids before 2015 runs out.
Aside from clothing what other business are you into?
I do interior decoration and beddings.
Do you run the business by yourself or you have partners?
The business is being run solely by me byt I have people who run the branches for me in other States. Biban Unogu in ABUJA, Port Harcourt, Delta State and Lagos State.
Since you started, how many Nigerian celebrities have you designed for?
I have designed for a whole lot of them like you, Mercyflawless (I’m feeling like a celeb already *winks*), Yemi Solade, Ruth Ezeh , Ella Mensah and others. I appreciate everyone for patronizing my business.
Where do you see Swt Fit Fabrics in the next 5 years?
I will keep on putting in my best, and keep coming out with new ideas, then leave d rest to God . I believe I will go places with my designs in the nearest future.
How affordable are your designs?
My designs are very affordable, irrespective of who is buying.
What should people expect from you in 2015?
More values and better designs for all occasions and for kids. Also Swt Fit shoes will be available for men.
Aside from Nigeria, which other country do you have clients in?
I have clients in the United States, UK, South Africa and Ghana. I thank God for the wonderful turn out so far.
