This is such a bad news. Nigerian popular dancer, Kemi Omotoyinbo is dead.
The dancer who has performed with the likes of Kwam 1, Pasuma (both fuji musicians) and Sir Shina Peters, reportedly died during child birth in a Lagos hospital on Wednesday October 1st, 2014.
According to reports, the dancer was taken to a private hospital after she went into labor, but since she couldn’t have the child naturally, a caeserean section was recommended.
The hospital demanded N450,000 for the whole operation, but told the dancer and her husband to deposit N300,000 before they can commence the operation.
The deceased husband pleaded with the doctor to carry out the operation, promising to pay the deposit, the next day.
Despite several pleas to the doctor, he refused to carry out the procedure without deposit. It was at this point that Kemi decided to send message to her friends asking them for help. She got responses that money will be made available to her the next day. On hearing this, the husband was said to have gone back to plead with the doctor again, but all his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Kemi Omotoyinbo passed away that same night, 3 weeks after her wedding.
