Recall In 2021 Headies Award that took place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Singer Omah Lay won the next rated award, Wizkid won the artiste of the year award and viewers choice award, while Fireboy won the highest number of awards that include, Best R&B Single, Best R&B Album, Best Pop Award and Best Headies Revelation.

In 2015, controversies trailed the next rated award won by singer Rekaado Banks, as Olamide, the YBNL boss while on stage with Adekunle and other crew members caused commotion as they disclosed that Lil Kesh deserved the next rated award instead of Reekado Banks.
