It is so sad that we forget people when they are no longer in the spotlight or when they are no more.
As a young girl, I remember that the reason why I loved football (soccer) was because of the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Peter Rufai, Sunday Oliseh, Austin Okocha,Kanu Nwankwo, Samson Siasia, Steven Keshi, Daniel Amokachi, Amunike and so on.
I wish we would remember people who were once a source of pride to us in one way or the other as a nation. May the soul of Rashidi Yekini rest in peace and may God bless Portugal for remembering and honoring him even in death.
