On Monday November 13, 2023, Mercyflawless Media production team woke up to the news of our sensational movie, 50/50 bagging multiple Best Of Nollywood Awards nominations. And while we were preparing to release a public statement about the news, we were informed of two other movies, Adaba and Alebu Ara getting double nominations too.
When 50/50 was released in February of 2023, it was a sensational hit that resonate with both singles and married couple. It trended on X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok in its first week of release and garnered over 600,000 views on YouTube (it is now over 700k views). The story is about a couple who agreed to split every bill that comes their way equally, no matter how small or big it might be. The movie bagged four nominations in the recently released BON’s nominees list, Best Use of Food, Best Actor in a Yoruba Movie (Mustapha Solagbade), Most promising Actress (Funke Mercy Tanimola), Best Screenplay.
Two other movies also produced by Mercyflawless Media, Alebu Ara and Adaba bagged multiple nominations including, Best Actor in a Yoruba Movie (Rotimi Salami – Adaba), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Regina Chukwu – Adaba and Habibat Jinad – Alebu Ara) and Best Actor in a Supporting role (Olaitan Jewola – Alebu Ara).
