Mention one career today that a woman is not involved in… None right. Women have come a long way to arrive at this point of liberation. Women have fought so many battles in the past to make ways for the future we have today. And also we have great women today, who are either president or leader of a nation. We definitely rock the world. I am proud to be a woman. what about you?
Every March 8 is the international women’s day and it’s a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
The first International Women’s Day was held in 1911 and is celebrated annually on 8 March and thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
This year’s theme is ‘make it happen’ and aims to encourage effective action for recognising women for their impact in the world at large.
