The Ogun State House of Assembly was under siege today as suspected hoodlums attacked the building and made away with the mace.
Confirming the incident to Channels Television, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the hoodlums attacked in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He, however, said the coat of the arm on the mace has been recovered but the stick is still missing.
He added that investigations have been launched to unravel those who are behind the incident and the motive behind their action.
