Italian giants, Juventus F.C have mutually terminated the contract of Argentine striker, Gonzalo Gerardo Higuain.
The Turin side made the announcement yesterday, the 17th of September, 2020 in an official press release.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the mutual termination of the contract with the player Gonzalo Gerardo Higuain. This operation generates a negative economic effect of approximately €18.3 million on the 2019/2020 financial year due to the residual value write-down of the registration rights of the player.”
Higuain was signed by Juventus in the summer of 2016 for a fee of €90million from fellow Italian side Napoli after he scored 36 league goals, winning the Capocannoniere ttitle and equaling Gino Rosetti’s 87-year-old record for goals in an Italian top-flight season.
