May God Remove Me From This Throne If I Smoke Marijuana – Oluwo Replies Accusers

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi has debunked rumours that he smokes marijuana.

According to him, the allegation is baseless and malicious.

The monarch, in a viral video addressing a public gathering, dissociated himself from the rumour and invoked curses on those spreading it.

Oba Akanbi said the allegation was fabricated by what he called “unfortunate individuals” and vowed that divine punishment would befall them.

“They are lying against me. They are unfortunate people. Unless I am smoking marijuana. If I’m a smoker, God should remove me from this throne. You, who are accusing me of being a smoker, God will punish you,” the monarch declared.

The rebuttal came shortly after the Court of Appeal upheld Oba Akanbi’s enthronement as the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, affirming his legitimacy on the throne.

The monarch expressed joy over the ruling, stressing that his reign was divinely ordained and could not be undone by human effort.

“My throne is from God. No man can undo what God has established,” he said.

Oba Akanbi maintained that the smear campaign would not distract him from his duties as king, noting that his focus remained on promoting peace and development in Iwoland.

“The accusations are nothing but lies meant to tarnish my name, but they cannot shake what God has already blessed,” he added.
