If you watch Yoruba movies alot, you will definitely know the pretty face I brought to you today. Her name is Juwon Adewunmi aka Nurse Oyinda or Wendy, and she has been around for a while. In this interview, the Business Admisitration graduate of Lagos State University opened up on her journey into the movie industry, her relationship with her colleagues and so on. Can we please meet you?
My name is Olajuwon Sekinatu Adewunmi, am an actress and a movie producer
When did you venture into acting?
Actually I started acting through mom (Mrs Oluwarantimi Adewunmi) since 1995 and later joined my caucus, African spirit performing arts (aspa) in 2005 under Mr. Olamilekan Ojo‘s tutelage
So far, how many movies have you acted in and how many have you produced?
I’ve featured in so many movies and I’ve produced more than ten movies which includes, Nurse oyinda, Wendy, Eewo, Omo Ghetto 2, Olorun O Joyin, Ayekaye, Posh, Eje Mi, Oruka Aje, Salako Alagbeand so on.
Would you say you are fulfilled as an actress or you are not there yet?
No, I still have a long way to go in the industry
Why is it that actresses don’t get along and what do you have to say about the competition among actresses?
Some actresses don’t focus on their game, they want to be treated as idols and worshipped just because they started it before you or they came into limelight before you and so they think it is an obligation to bow to them but you don’t have time for that. That is one of the things that bring about the envy, so they don’t get along
I have seen you in quite a number of movies, is there any artiste you have not worked with and you still wish to work with?
I’ve worked with quite a number of actors and actresses but I wish to work with Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde . Most people say I look like Omotola and I wish to work with her soon.

Most people believe that having a caucus is the best way to be known in the industry, is that true?
I will say yes because being in a caucus do help a lot and after I left my boss caucus, me and my colleagues started ours.
Most people believe that some celebrities are too proud, how do you relate with your fans?
To me people only think celebrities are proud because they are not close to them to know their personality. I relate well with my fans, as I said, am a simple lady and I love to make friends. My fans can easily relate with me because I’m a free person and I love my fans because without them, I won’t be here today.
