The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila has urged christians to pray for the nation even as they celebrate Christmas.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Lanre Lasisi, Gbajabiamila in his Christmas message to the public called on Christians to imbibe the teachings of Jesus Christ whom he described as a model to everybody.
He said the period calls for a sober reflection and a time where the affairs of the nation (especially at a period insecurity is on the rise) should be committed to God’s hands.
Gbajabiamila added that despite their different backgrounds, Nigerians “must work towards achieving the dreams of our founding fathers, who made a lot of sacrifices for us to be one.”
He finally wished all Christians as well as other citizens a happy celebration noting that they ensure to keep to all Covid-19 protocols.
