It’s been two years since the demise of popular Nigerian musician Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey aka Goldie.
Goldie was one of the few female musicians who worked tirelessly to stay relevant in the music industry. During her time, she showed the world that she could make an impact in the male dominated music industry without fear. She refused to be intimidated. Indeed, she came, she saw and she conquered.
She died on February 14, 2013, shortly after she returned from the 55th Grammy Awards which held in Los Angeles, United States. She was said to have been rushed to the hospital after complaining of severe headache. But she was pronounced dead on arrival at the Reddington hospital in Victoria Island Lagos.
Goldie was laid to rest on February 23, 2013 at the Vaults and Parks in Ikoyi Lagos.
