Come October 20, 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO) will officially declare Nigeria an Ebola free country. Isn’t that a good news? *Yep*
WHO will officially declare these, following the 42 days standard period to declare an outbreak over (it will be 42 days on October 20, that Nigeria has been free of the virus).
This was confirmed in a statement made by the Director of information in the Ministry of Health, Mrs Ayotunde Adesugba, on Tuesday October 7.
Nigeria was able to contain the deadly virus which was brought into the country by Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, in July 2014.
Aside Nigeria, Senegal is another African country which has been able to curb the EVD.
If Nigera can do it, I believe the United States can do it too.
P.S
I might finally consider a vacay in Nigeria. *winks*
