Nigerian gospel crooner, Yinka Ayefele and his band arrived the United States of America last Tuesday, for a six weeks musical tour. He was however disappointed, when three of his band boys absconded on their arrival to the States.
According to the statement released by his publicist, David Ajiboye, Ayefele and his band left Nigeria on September 2, to perform in Washington DC, Maryland, Baltimore, New York, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston, only for 3 of his band boys to abscond. Ojoyido Adegbenga Ezekiel (keyboardist), Solomon Olugbenga Motimoke (vocalist), and Olusola Kayode Isaac (vocalist).
Olusola Kayode took off at the LaGuardia Airport, New York, on Monday October 14, on their way from Houston Texas.
Solomon Motimoke left the band on October 11, while they were in Washington DC, while Ojoyido Adegbenga was said to have absconded while they were in Howard Johnson Inn on Rockaway Boulevard, Queens New York, on Tuesday October 15.
According to reports, Yinka Ayefele has written to the United States Homeland Security Office about the incident, and he urged them to look for the boys and deport them, so as to serve as a lesson to others.
