Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, along with the newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Taminu Turaki, have reportedly forced the faction led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike out of the party’s secretariat.
The development followed tensions on Monday at the PDP headquarters in Abuja over attempts to hold parallel meetings by the warring factions.

The National Working Committee, NWC, elected in Ibadan, Oyo State, and the faction backed by Wike had both scheduled meetings for the same day.
Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary of the pro-Wike faction, had arrived at Wadata Plaza with some members of his faction, but a fight reportedly broke out at the PDP secretariat, leading to the Wike faction being chased out of the premises.
However, Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and PDP National Chairman Turaki forced their way into the PDP NEC hall to hold their NEC meeting.
