Her name is Omotola Odunsi also known as MotolaTheActor. Her first lead role movie is currently showing on YouTube via ApataTv. Let’s take a trip into her beautiful world.

Could you pls tell us a bit about your background, your journey into acting and your boss in the movie industry

I’m the second born of the family. And I attended Oredola Nursery and Primary School. I later went to Our Lady Of Apostle Secondary School for my secondary education in Ijebu-ode, in Ogun State. Then I proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University where I graduated with BSc. in Microbiology
I trained under Odunlade Adekola Films Production, and I recently fall into the warm hands of Funke Mercy Tanimola who has been helping in shaping me to be the better version of myself both as an actress, and as an individual.

Movies you have acted in, and which one is the most challenging for you

I have acted in Igbale, Laala, Ago Alago, Made For Me, President Kuti, Tenifayo, Eniolorunda, ARIKE, Okunkun, Officer Adaeze, Ifedayo, Amonata and many more. AMONATA is the most challenging for me because I have never played such role before. Playing the lead in Amonata was a big deal for me. I love to be challenged, and I embraced it with all humility and flexibility to fit in.

Would you play the character AMONATA again?

Oh YES. I will love to play the role of AMONATA again & again, and kudos to my Executive Producer who took a chance on me for playing this role.

Which role will you not be caught playing and how did your folks react to you being an actor?

As far as my career is concerned, I’m always prepared for any role. As for my folks, I got their full support

How do you handle being on set with an actor you don’t get along with?

So far I’m on set, no matter what differences I have with an actor I’m on set with, I put that aside and do my job with all passion because I’m a professional.

Do you have a mentor in the industry? If yes, what stood out for you to make the person your mentor?

Yes, I do. And my mentor in the industry is Sister Funke Mercy Tanimola. I’m her mentee because I see myself in her; a young vibrant lady who has passion for God, Career and Human Development.

Aside acting, are there other things you are doing. And what is your selling point?

I’m a business owner.  My face and physique are my selling points.

As a young upcoming actor what are the challenges you face in the industry? And any word of encouragement for upcoming acts like yourself?

As an upcoming actor, be prepared to face challenges like not being given lead roles until you prove yourself worthy. As an aspiring actor, all you need do is to keep working on yourself, take a step further in creating something that will showcase you to the world by posting it on your social media platforms. By doing this, it’ll reach the necessary audience one day.
