Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has offered a candid piece of advice to women, emphasizing the importance of financial independence over societal pressures to marry.
In a recent post on Instagram, Nkechi encouraged women to prioritize their financial well-being, stating that it is more important to fear poverty than to fear being unmarried.
She highlighted that while being single does not diminish a woman’s value or self-worth, financial struggles can severely limit her options and opportunities in life.
She wrote: “Woman to woman, you should be more afraid of being poor than being unmarried.
“Singleness doesn’t take away your worth, but poverty takes away your choices.”
