A 30-year-old woman identified as Esua Ayibe has d+ed after she was reportedly att@cked by unknown individuals in Benin City, Edo State.
According to family members, Esua had travelled to Ujo Street in the Ogida area to help a friend decorate a funeral venue, offering her services free of charge.
After completing the work, she remained in the area when she was suddenly att@cked.
The as+ault left her with severe inj¥ries, and she was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for emergency treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, she later succ¥mbed to her inj¥ries.
Her remains have since been deposited in the mortuary.
Relatives remembered Esua as a calm, hardworking decorator who was well regarded in the community for her work at funerals and other events.
They have called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances of her d£ath and ensure that those responsible are identified, arrested, and brought to justice.
As of the time of this report, no arrests had been made and no suspects had been identified.
